On Tuesday 28 November all Oken House students in Years 7, 8 & 9 will be joining Mr Apostol and a small team of staff and volunteers behind the Hub to plant 420 new trees which will eventually grow into our new forest school. This will take place during period 1 only.
All students who are taking part are allowed to come to school wearing old tracksuit bottoms or jeans but must bring some school trousers or a school skirt to put on immediately afterwards. They will also need to bring suitable footwear such as wellies or boots as well as their normal school shoes.
If your child would like to design a name plaque over the weekend to plant with their tree they would be very welcome to do this (please make sure it is waterproof).
The trees have been donated by the Woodland Trust and the event is taking place in conjunction with the local charity Evelyn’s Gift. Thanks also to TCL Tool Hire for lending us the spades free of charge.
