The Department of Geology at the University of Leicester is running a free one-day event on Friday 30 June called Geoscience without Boundaries.
It’s aimed at providing an introduction to the geosciences for female science students. Geology is an incredibly broad subject, encompassing aspects of chemistry, physics, maths, biology and geography and is therefore ideal for students seeking alternative routes into science.
The event will be pitched at Year 12, however high achieving Year 11 students are more than welcome to attend. There are more details about the event in the programme for the day Geoscience without Boundaries Programme. Anyone interested should see our Head of Science, Mr Benjamin.
