This week’s message is from Deputy Head, Dr Menezes:
Dear Parents and Carers
Yesterday evening, we welcomed prize winners from Year 7 and their families into school for an evening of celebration. Prizes were awarded for each student based on their individual success in achieving subject excellence; demonstrating positive attitudes to learning; or showing resilience, curiosity and sustained passion in their learning.
Speaking at the event, our Head of Key Stage 3, Mrs Atkins shared her firm belief that student success is a product of three parties: parents, teachers and, of course, the students themselves. The evening was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate as a community and we were entertained with musical interludes performed by two of the award winners.
The evening showcased the way our students engage in school life with enthusiastic participation across the curriculum and all aspects of school life, both inside and outside of school. After the rousing reception they received, I am sure they will be even more motivated to maintain the high standards they have set themselves as they progress through the school.
