Dear Parents and Carers
It was great to see our students performing at the Festival of the Arts yesterday evening and thank you to all the families and friends who came along to support them. The students were fantastic and enjoyed showing off their various talents; acting, singing, playing a range of instruments and dancing. On these occasions it is easy to see how proud our staff are of the performers. I would like to thank Mrs Stringer, Miss Arliss, Mr Atkins and Ms Myers for arranging the show, Harry Robbins for his technical support, and FOMS for laying on the refreshments. But of course it was the children who were the stars and congratulations to them for their performances.
This is a good opportunity to reaffirm our commitment at Myton School to providing memorable experiences for all our students throughout their time with us, including in the Arts. As we ready ourselves to launch our new improvement plan, we are looking at adopting best practice to make sure our students not only learn exceptionally well, but also develop skills and character which will provide for them in their futures. The Arts will play a key role here as will many other parts of the school: clubs, sports and trips to name a few.
Thank you for your continued support.
