A group of Myton students has made it through to the final of a competition run by the Midcounties Co-operative in which they had to create a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution and reduce single use plastic in their school.

Ruben Siemon Kleba, Georgia Lawson-Usherwood, Jessica Komarasinha, Joyal John, Shivrya Dulay, Julian Young and Josh Faries, all in Year 10, have made a short video as part of their campaign and created a sculpture from single use plastic. The video is available on YouTube.

The Myton team have been invited to the final at Chateau Impney on Saturday 11th May 2019 to present their campaign, show their video and showcase their sculpture design, explaining their rationale to a panel of judges. The winning school stand to win £500 for their school.
