We celebrated 100 years of Roald Dahl in style (and with lots of cake) after school on Tuesday 13 September. Thanks to all the Year 7 students who took part in our ‘Big Friendly Read’ and the Year 8 helpers who entertained us with their readings and dramatic re-enactments of scenes from the books.

Well done to these students in particular who won our competitions:

  • ‘Name the Book Title’ – Matthew Jordan from M6.
  • ‘Draw the Fish’ – Caitlin Finan from O11 and Grace Elliott from L4.

Congratulations also go to Anna Skidmore in Year 8, who won the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory cake competition with her amazing recreation of the chocolate river.
