Recovery curriculum

At Myton we recognise that – although students have been studying remotely during periods of lockdown – they have not had as much opportunity to develop and build on certain skills, such as debate, extended writing, team work, handwriting, active learning, practical applications and discussion. We’re grateful for the support and engagement that parents and carers have been able to provide during this lockdown period and are keen to share with you our plans for a ‘recovery curriculum’.

We have adapted our teaching plans for what we aim to teach in each subject in the summer term to build in opportunities for consolidation and skills development. This should ensure that each child is able to make the progression they need to. If they have struggled with home-learning we have signposted you to where they can get some more help to catch up; if they miss lessons going forward you can see our recommended links to support their learning in school this term; if you’d like to boost the work they are doing in school or want to support them further with their home learning you can access very easily the topics and use the links our teachers have recommended.
