Joining us in Year 7

Welcome to our new students who have been offered a place in Year 7 at Myton School for September 2021.

Welcome from Mr Stone, Head of Year 7

Hello everyone

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as Head of Year 7 at Myton School and to extend a warm welcome to you and your son or daughter. I will be looking after your child throughout their time in Year 7, together with a team of dedicated form tutors who specialise in the transition from primary to secondary school. We are currently planning a number of events designed to make the transition to Myton run smoothly.

I am very proud of the provision we have at Myton School. I’m particularly interested in instilling three key characteristics in our Year 7 students: resilience, respect and kindness, which I promote through a variety of engaging, thought-provoking and fun activities during form time.

In Year 7 your child will have plenty of opportunities to try out new activities, both in and out of the main curriculum, and I encourage all students to embrace these challenges by getting involved and trying something new.

I look forward to meeting you all very soon.

Mr P Stone – Head of Year 7
