A bake sale was organised yesterday by some of our Year 10 students, who wanted to raise awareness and money for the following two foundations: Planned Parenthood and Amnesty International.
Planned Parenthood is for women in America who want an abortion and because of the new law they are forced to go to unsafe places to get one but this foundation makes it safer and legal for women to get an abortion if they want to.
Amnesty International is a human rights charity that is trying to prevent the possibility of abortions becoming illegal in the UK.
Students advertised their sale last week and sold a range of baked goods including, pastries, cakes and cookies with prices ranging from 50p to £2.
We are very proud to announce that through their hard work and the generosity of our students, they raised £250 for their causes.
Well done to our students for proactively seeking to help others!
