Last Thursday marked the start of a journey for 14 Year 9 students as they study with The Brilliant Club.
The Brilliant Club works with schools and universities across the UK and mobilises the PhD community to support students to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there.
The group was treated to a tour of the campus of St Catherine’s College, Oxford, where the event was launched, followed by a fantastic lunch in the formal dining hall. Our students participated in a study skills workshop and listened intently to current ‘Catz’ (St Catherine’s) postgraduates sharing their experiences of all aspects of university life.
“Myton School students were surprised (but relieved) to find out there are no detentions at university,” said Head of Psychology, Miss Clark.
“Thanks to Mr Apostle and Miss Barry who accompanied the group. It was a real pleasure to spend the day with a fantastic group of students!”
Good luck to everyone on their journey to the graduation event next year – students are now eagerly awaiting their first tutorial after half term where they will start to explore the question ‘Can you freeze a human?’
