This year, we have around eight students in Year 13 who are hoping to go into drama, filmmaking, acting, film studies and related fields. Today we’re sharing what two of them – Olivia P and Max T – are hoping to do when they leave Myton at the end of this year.
Olivia is planning to study creative makeup for media and performance.
She said: “I chose this course because over the past 3 years I have been developing my skills and my passion has just grown. I realised this is what I wanted to do. Also I have always loved the theatre but never really felt comfortable being on stage.”
Olivia hasn’t yet made her final decision but she have been offered places at Arts University Bournemouth and University College Birmingham. In the future she hopes to work either on films or in the theatre, creating makeup looks for different characters.
Max has applied to go to Manchester Metropolitan University next year to do a film making course.
He said: “The main reason I chose this uni was because it does ‘experimental film’ which means I will be able to look at film in a more artistic and unique way.”
