Some of our Year 12 students visited the Warwickshire Justice Centre this week. Samira from Year 12 writes:
“It was a very insightful experience and all of our group found the day not just interesting but also very informative. At the beginning of the day, we had an introduction session which was led by a clerk. They made us feel very highly welcome and were open to any of our questions. We were extremely lucky to watch a sentence take place which brought to life the everyday work of all different professions within the court from clerks to barristers to judges. Then in the afternoon we were able to watch a pre-trial recording again. These experiences really created a great image of what life in the law system could be like for many of us. The experience was astonishing and as a group we are very grateful to have had this opportunity!”
