This term has been particularly difficult in terms of extra-curricular sports and the clubs and activities we have not been allowed to offer due to health & safety restrictions.
Live fixtures against other schools have been non-existent, however we have entered several fixtures virtually against other schools in Sportshall Athletics, Football and Dance and I am pleased to say we have been extremely successful.
This follows on from the success of the virtual competitions we took part in during lockdown and has ensured that students are engaged in as much sports as is possible to help with their health and wellbeing during this difficult time.
We have won the following 2020 Central Warwickshire Virtual competitions:
- Year 7 Sportshall Athletics (Pentathlon) both boys and girls
- Year 7 Sportshall Athletics (Pentathlon) both boys and girls
- Key Stage 3 Sportshall Pentathlon 4U SEND
- Year 7/8 Girls Football Competition
- Year 7/8 Solo Dance Choreography
- Year 7/8 Group Set Dance
- Year 7/8 Group Dance Choreography
- Year 10/11 Group Dance Choreography
The students involved will now have their scores and videos compared against other schools in the county to see if we have gained success at that level too. Results will be disclosed on Monday 14 December.
Well done to everyone involved.
