Dan in Year 12, has been selected as a finalist in the New College of the Humanities essay writing competition. In a field of 6000 entries this is a real achievement. He wrote an essay in the Economics category about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted inequalities. This not only developed his knowledge and understanding of his A level subject but also involved a significant task in planning and writing an essay which helped him develop essential skills for study. He has now been invited to London to the awards ceremony where he will have an opportunity to network with other students and enjoy some well-deserved pampering!
