It was great to hear from a local resident this week, who sent an email praising a Myton student. It is always lovely to receive these positive comments as the majority of our students are caring and considerate individuals who we should be proud of.
“On Tuesday evening I was walking our dog and on the approach back home, I spotted a young lad in a Myton School uniform just ahead of us. He had some rubbish in his hand and was heading towards the bin on the street, where to my surprise he not only placed his rubbish, but also picked up a number of other pieces of litter from around and on the bin which were not his own and disposed of them also!
We spend so much time criticising and stereotyping young people, especially young boys, that I feel I need to let you know that this this lad’s simple action was noticed and has made a lasting impression on both myself and other passers by – a credit to your school!”
A big thumbs up and thank you if your child was this true ambassador to our school!
