The Smallpeice Trust are offering a free sponsored place for their Digital Railway Engineering residential course to a Myton student in Year 11 or 12. The sponsor’s requirements for the free place is that an applicant will have average learning ability (to fully participate in the course) and a mobility disability.
It takes place between 29 July – 1 August 2019 at the University of Birmingham and all costs are covered except for travelling to and from the university. For more information about the course, please see the Smallpeice Trust website.
One of our Year 8 students, Jak Masterson, was lucky enough to attend one of The Smallpeice Trust’s ‘Engineering Experience’ residential courses at the University of Nottingham over Easter. He had a fantastic time, and was asked to write a short article of his experience which you can read on pages 12-13 of the Smallpeice Trust’s newsletter.
