We are proud that so many of our students choose to cycle to school each day. If your child is one of them, please can we ask you to discuss cycle helmets with them?
We know that teenagers aren’t keen to wear helmets and that they often have a different perception of risk to their parents and carers. We’re also aware that it’s not a legal requirement to wear a helmet when cycling. However, we’d like to encourage you to share with your child the message from the charity Headway urging cyclists to stay safe and wear a helmet: Cycle safety information and videos on the Headway website
