A Level Geography students took part in a fascinating energy talk followed by a Q and A session on Tuesday.Tim Hughes, a Project Manager from waste management company Suez, gave a presentation on Carbon Capture and Store (CCS) and Energy From Waste (EFW). Tim, who is based at the company’s Heathcote site, was then available for questions afterwards.
26 students took part and, according to Geography teacher, Mrs Hughes (who is married to Tim), the session provided a good insight into A Level Geography units on the Earth’s Life Support Systems (ELSS) and Climate Change units of the physical examination paper.
