BBC Young Reporters Experience the media and voice your opinion learning new skills in presenting and editing along the way. None Ms D Hotten Please bring additional drink and snack.
STEM Club Students work towards CREST Awards and develop their resilience, communication and problem-solving skills. None Miss C Booth CREST Discovery Award will run Autumn 1 and Autumn 2. Students attend one block of sessions to qualify for the award (Year 8). CREST Bronze Award will run in the Spring term. Students attend the whole term to qualify for the award.
Code Club A club where we create programs in Scratch, art with P5.JS and maybe even do some machine learning with Teachable Machine. None Mr S Johnson None
Eco Club The Eco-Team are trying to reduce Myton’s impact on the environment and increase biodiversity on site! None Mr B Hobbs None
Whole School Production Full School Production- All Year groups None Miss A Arliss and Mrs C Stringer This will run from September to December with the performance being this side of Christmas.
WINGS KS3 Drama Club and Show None Miss A Arliss and Mrs C Stringer This will start in January and run until July. Show in July.
Keyboard Club Students us the time to develop keyboard skills by learning new pieces of music. Some students develop compositions using this time. None Mr W Brice None
Filmosophy A film group where we examine and discuss philosophical and ethical issues. None Mrs R Loxton None
Mission Explore Key Stage 3 students will be set a series of missions which they will complete. Each mission carries a number of points. Certificates will be awarded when they hit a certain number of points. None Mrs E Wood Sometimes permission will be needed to go offsite and into the local surroundings for some missions. Usual trip procedures will follow for these.
True Crime Tuesdays Learning about all things true crime! The people who have committed them, distinguishing facts from fiction, well known cases, international crime stories etc. None Miss S Jhutti Open to Years 9 and above (delving into the details of true crime may not be suitable for younger years.)
GCSE Music Theory Catch up theory lessons for Year 10 and 11 students None Ms W Harrisson Compulsory attendance for selected students. Other students can request to attend.
Ukulele Come and learn to play ukulele- open to beginners and improvers. None Ms W Harrisson Ukuleles available to borrow during the session. Students can bring their own instruments and store them in the instrument cupboard in the PA block. Opportunity to perform at school events and work towards music badges, or just learn for fun.
Advance Music Tech We’ll be learning about recording studio technology, live sound technology and venue lighting. We can produce tracks on apple macs & learn about sound and lighting theory. None Mr R Sawyer All ages welcome. Even staff can attend.
KS3 Code Club Gaming Lab None Mr R Taylor Students from KS3 will be able to access coding for the first time.
Crypto Club Everything an investor needs to know about crypto trading. None Mrs E Foster None
Band Club Students who already have experience with an instrument can come along and play with others None Ms W Harrisson None
Vocal Group Open to all singers. Come and learn new songs in the run up to Christmas and prepare for the Christmas concert, carol singing, and carol service in December. None Ms W Harrisson None
Karate Club After school Karate club in the Sports Hall £3.50 External Trainer: Adam Pool None
Roller Skating Disco Learn to roller skate or just have fun with mates £3.00 External Provider: Sk8hire All equipment provided within the cost (skates, wrist guards)
